Welcome to MiR

MiR is a network made up of parents and guardians of children and young people with different ethnic and cultural backgrounds. The aim of our work is to support ethnic minority families through providing guidance and counselling in the areas of school, family life and Norwegian society.

We want to build bridges between ethnic and cultural minorities and society at large, in order to enhance ethnic minority families’ participation in the society. Our organisation is religiously neutral as well as politically independent.

Our youth organisation MIR-Ung focuses on creating meeting places and events where young people of different backgrounds can get to know each other, share ideas and work together for an open and accepting society.

Our main office is localized in Torggata 31, Oslo.
